The magic of live performances

Every time I think about music, I think about live music because live music is a way I genuinely connect with an artist on a cosmic level.
Recently, this happened to me with Ella Langley, where 'Choosin' Texas' was an instant radio hit. I wasn't too convinced about the song, but after watching the CMA performance of the song, and it all clicked. That song is now being played during my commute, shower, and cooking time all the time. It is like a switch in my brain and I became an Ella lover (I am too much in love with her)
This got me wondering why live performances make me pledge my solidarity to an artist, in a way that a campfire makes me feel relaxed and connected to the world around me. It is the same feeling with Coldplay that I have always had: spending all my time watching their live performances on TV (then eventually watching them live in Zurich), through the screen and eyes it is magic.
And I realized that for those moments, when I watch someone perform, I am only focused on the moment. It can be a similar concept to meditation, where you focus on the now... the present moment. No more thinking, overanalyzing, planning the next thing. It is just now...
The stage intimidates me, but it is also like a lover that you try to distance yourself from, but the greater the distance, the higher the tension to snap right back into each other.
I wonder if everyone feels the same way about live music as musicians do. Or their 'live music' is going out on a walk, taking a vacation, or watching a favorite TV show. Because it is hard to imagine not having this feeling exist in life, so I am pretty sure it exists in different forms in people's souls.
Anyways, here is me performing 'Again' at Donau115 in Berlin :)
